Terms of service
Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-06-12
These terms govern your access to and use of the EUTM vs National Trademark calculator, published at https://eu-tm.sellerguardrails.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Nature of the Service
The Service is a free informational tool. It provides indicative cost-and-coverage estimates comparing an EU trade mark (EUTM) filing against a bundle of national trademark filings, based on official EUIPO and national intellectual-property-office fee schedules. It does not require registration, an account, or payment, and it does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. Estimates are orientative and may become outdated as official fees change.
Provider
The Service is operated by José Manuel Volante González, a natural person established in Spain. Full provider identification is set out in the legal notice.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to:
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent the Service or its security controls;
- scrape, republish, or resell the underlying datasets or calculations for commercial purposes without prior written permission;
- use the outputs to mislead third parties or as a substitute for qualified professional advice.
Intellectual property
The text, calculations, datasets, and design of the Service are protected by intellectual property rights. Personal, non-commercial use with attribution is permitted. For any commercial use, contact [email protected].
Third-party links and references
The Service may reference or link to third-party resources (official IPO websites, the SME Fund programme, and similar). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of those external resources.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by applicable law. Results are indicative and do not replace advice from a qualified trademark attorney. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the provider accepts no liability for decisions made solely on the basis of the Service's outputs.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any question regarding these terms, contact [email protected].
